# NuCLEANase® - Enzyme Characteristics

**Activity:** ≥ 30 MU/L¹  
Molecular weight (calculated): 27 kDa

**Reaction conditions:** optimum at 37 °C, pH 8.0 – 9.0

**Cofactor:** 1 - 2 mM Mg²+ cations for optimal activity (not included in the enzyme formulation)

**Formulation: **potassium phosphate buffer pH 8.0, 50 % (v/v) glycerol

**Storage temperature:** -20 °C

*¹Unit definition: One unit (U) digests salmon sperm DNA to acid-soluble oligonucleotides equivalent to ΔA 260 nm of 1.0 in 30 min at pH 8.0 at 37 °C.*
